Water technology
Brian Sheng
CEO & Co-Founder of Aquaria
Brian has been my client since July 2024, one of the longest engagements I run. He is the co-founder and CEO of Aquaria, a water-technology company. He came to me with a clear frustration. He had deep expertise and strong opinions, but turning that into something that worked on LinkedIn had beaten both him and the agencies he had tried.
The BriefWhat made Brian different was who he used to be. Before Aquaria, he was a venture capitalist. He knew how fundraising actually works, and he knew exactly which investors he wanted in the room. He also knew how he did not want to come across, which was needy. His brief to me was precise: make the content good enough that the right investors feel compelled to reach out on their own, without him ever asking.
That is what happened. Since his first post on 10 July 2024, we have published 430+ posts that drew 970,000+ impressions, 12,200+ reactions, 1,950+ comments, and 400+ reshares. Brian credits the content as a major contributor to the investor attention he has drawn, and coming from a former VC who knows exactly what moves investors, that is not a casual endorsement.
It also booked him at least 10 podcast interviews directly, part of more than 20 appearances that trace back to his LinkedIn presence. When Aquaria opened a new channel-partner revenue line, the same content pulled in inbound interest from potential partners. If anyone can judge whether a LinkedIn presence actually pulls investors in, it is a former VC.
