The System · Stage 03 of 4 · Months 7-12
Expansion
The stage where AI assistants learn your name and your audience stops depending on an algorithm: long-form articles, a newsletter, and an email list you own outright.
Six months in, you have reach, but you rent it. LinkedIn decides who sees your posts. A podcast episode peaks and fades. Everything you have built so far lives on someone else’s platform. This stage fixes that, and checks something almost nobody has looked at.
First, the testBefore writing anything long-form, I run the AI discoverability test: your name and category through ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, and Perplexity, using the questions your buyers and investors actually ask, scored query by query. I ran it for three clients in June and July 2026. All three had gaps their traffic stats never showed: known by name, invisible by category. The test tells us exactly which articles to write.
Then, the engineTwo articles a month
Each one published three ways: LinkedIn article, blog post, newsletter issue. By Month 12 you have 12 articles working across 36 placements.
Topic strategy from signal
I track which articles drive newsletter signups, podcast invitations, and inbound conversations, and double down on those threads. Niche queries first, head terms later: you dominate the specific questions before contesting the big ones.
Your name on everything
Every article carries your byline and first-person authority. Founder discoverability is the single simplest win with AI assistants, and it only works if the founder is named.
Newsletter build-out
Platform of your choice. Every article becomes an issue, every podcast appearance becomes an issue, and a 3-5 email welcome sequence introduces new subscribers to your best thinking.
Voice refinement
By Month 7 we have published 70+ pieces. I refine your voice template against that record so every new draft sounds more like you than the last.
This is the newest stage of the system. I ran the AI discoverability test for three clients in June and July 2026, the first client article engine starts in August 2026, and I have run the full stage on myself since June 2026: Climate Visibility Lab ships every Thursday, and every issue becomes a LinkedIn article and a canonical article on this site. The first clients through this stage get the system I already ran on myself, not a theory. You are reading this stage’s output.
Questions founders askDoes anyone still read blogs?
People read fewer blogs than they used to. AI assistants read more of them than anyone ever did. When a buyer asks an AI assistant who leads your category, the assistant cites long-form articles, not LinkedIn posts. Articles are how you show up in answers you never see.
Why not start the newsletter on day one?
Because you would be writing to nobody. The first two stages build the audience the newsletter converts into a list you own.
What do I own at the end?
The article library, the newsletter, and the email list. Those stay yours if we ever part ways. No platform, and no ghostwriter, can take them back.
See how discoverable you are today. That is what the audit is for.
