The System · Stage 04 of 4 · Year 2
Total Domination
Year 2 turns a year of tested arguments into the assets that outlive feeds: conference stages, industry whitepapers, and the book, assembled from pieces your audience already voted on.
A year in, you have a following, a media presence, a newsletter, and an article library. The missing piece is the credential that outlives all of them. Feeds scroll past. A book stays on the desk.
What Year 2 addsConference targeting
From Month 10, while Expansion is still running, I build a database of 20-30 climate tech conferences relevant to your sector. In Year 2 we pursue the three to five where your investors, customers, and partners are in the room.
Speaker positioning
Which organisers to connect with, what content to engage with, what to send. By the time you reach out, they already know who you are. For booked slots: outline, slides, and supporting content before and after.
Post-event amplification
Every conference becomes content. Posts, an article, a newsletter issue, photos, clips. One hour on stage, a month of material.
Industry whitepapers
For the threads that deserve more depth than a 1,500-word article: distributed through the newsletter, or pitched to publications in your sector.
Contributor opportunities
When publications and other founders ask you to contribute, I help you decide which are worth your name and write the contributions.
The book
Around Month 14 we finalise the outline: your strongest tested articles assembled into a structure with a through-line, an audience, and a publishing path. Self-publish or find a publisher; I build it with you either way. The author credit is yours.
Same rule as every number on this site: no client has completed this stage yet, and I will not pretend otherwise. The outcome it is built for stands on its own: a founder with a LinkedIn following, media presence, a newsletter, and a book is investable. Full stop.
Questions founders askWhy a book at all?
It is the one credential that works in rooms you are not in: handed to an investor, or cited by an AI assistant when someone asks who leads your category.
What does Year 2 cost me in time?
More than Year 1, and it is worth being straight about. Conference days, speaking prep, and book decisions come on top of the weekly call. The system takes the writing off your plate, not the showing up.
Isn’t writing a book a huge project?
Writing one from scratch is. Assembling one from 36 articles your market already validated is a different job entirely. That is why the book sits in Year 2.
Can we skip straight to this stage?
No, and that is the honest answer. Each stage enables the next: podcasts need published thinking behind them, and the book needs arguments the market already tested. The order is part of why this works.
The two-year arc starts with 45 minutes.
